Greenpointers continues to answer the call to support our community with accurate information as the impact of COVID-19 is ravaging through North Brooklyn and the greater city. Small business owners tell us that our work helps bring in much needed cash flow as they start to transition to online sales, deliveries, or have fundraisers to support their staff. In recent weeks, we have brought national attention to local heroes and community organizations leading to a surge in fundraising to feed the food insecure. And most importantly, we connect our audience to essential information to navigate the coronavirus crisis - with content that ranges from listing when laundromats and grocery stores are open, to reporting discriminatory graffiti appearing in our parks. Greenpointers also highlights the uplifting stories that show how our community is coping with isolation, including musical performances on apartment balconies and volunteering in various capacities.
